You should check with whatever agency you have your car, homeowners or renters insurance through. You get big discounts when you have everything through the same agency. I have Erie for my car insurance and renters insurance when I looked into life insurance they said it would be 15 dollars per month but I would bet a 10 dollar per month discount on my car insurance so I really am only paying 5 bucks per month. |

Does your job or his offer life insurance? If so sometimes employers will pay in on the plan with you, but make sure you can continue the plan should you quit or get fired, etc. Also how old is he? Is he a smoker or nonsmoker? Is he in good health? Take alot of risks? There are alot of factors in determining the price of the payments. Whole life or term insurance? Whole life you pay either for a set amount of time or the rest of your life and it pays out a set benefit amount upon death to the beneficiary, it builds cash value, you can borrow against it, etc. Term life you make payments for a certain amount of time 10, 20, 30 years, and pays a set benefit amount to a beneficiary upon death as well, however, if the person doesn't die in that time, that money is just gone, doesn't build cash value. You would have to decide to renew term insurance or get whole life insurance at that time, and the older that person is, along with health issues, the more expensive it is. The last estimated quote we got to renew term insurance in the year 2028 on an 70 yr old healthy, nonsmoker male was approximately $3000/month, completely unimaginable and unaffordable, we went with whole. But depending on your situation and needs, both could be good. Try calling some insurance agencies and getting some quotes. |

The cheapest type of insurance is called term insurance and the most expensive is called whole life insurance. What I do for clients is get multiple quotes with A+ companies and find the best rates. You don't want to buy insurance from a company that is financially unstable so be sure that your final choice is a company that can pay if ever the time came. Let me know if I can help any further! |
