I am 19 years old, diabetic, and enrolled part time in college. I have a job but I also live on my own and support myself. Diabetes supplies and medications are very expensive and I do not have health insurance, nor any way of getting it. I barely make enough money to support myself and my family is unable to help me. Does anyone know of any way I can get assistance with medical costs? |

Many employers offer health insurance to their full-time employees. This might be a really good option for you if your classes are regular enough to schedule around.

Your state welfare department. You'll have to apply for medicaid - welfare health insurance.
Or, you get a part time job at Walmart, where you can get group health insurance coverage.
As a diabetic, your ONLY solutions are going to be welfare health insurance, OR, health insurance through your employer. You'll have to get a different job, sorry. |
