All plans are more affordable than not having insurance and needing it as you obviously already know.
Find a broker that does business in your state and they'll be able to help you. You can try the insurance pricing tool on my homepage. It gives the prices of different insurance companies and works in many states (including CA) and also requires no personal information to use.

Also...ignore the first reponse. BC in CA is far from expensive and it's VERY good. I had a client smash into a garbage truck last summer in CA, ended up in a coma for 6 weeks or so, then weeks of therapy and paid a total of $2400 (which was his deductible). The insurance company picked up the rest. I think he'd agree that it wasn't 'basically useless.' HOWEVER, if the first responder didn't use a broker then he probably bought the wrong plan. |
