You can review the potential lead--M/F, age, height, weight, how much insurance they have, how much they want, what type--and decide whether or not to buy it.

For a little more money, they will provide you with real-time leads collected from their network of websites, "scrubbed" for accuracy, and forwarded straight to you. You can also establish your parameters with them. If you have a "bad" lead--one that you are unable to contact for some reason--they will replace it.

Go after business owners. Think outside the box. Study 412i and 419e plans, if your company allows them. Average 412i case is 100K in commissions. I usually focus on 412i 419e, and non qualified deferred comp plans. (Business owners and individuals who cannot set up a retirement plan, so they over fund life insurance to access tax free money) A lot of people talk bad about the plans. However, if they are sold properly, they provide a great benefit to the clients, and you can make a lot of money. Also, estate planning and personal planning. Ask clients how they feel about the IRS getting 35% of their assetts. |

I don't usually sell life insurance, but I sell a lot of annuities, and I use annuity.com and A1 Annuities. I'm sure there are many other online list brokers that do life leads.
When you interview a lead broker, be sure to ask how many times the lead is sold. Ideally, you want to have the exclusive right, but that's hard to find. Stick with a lead broker who only sells to 3 or less agents, and call the lead immediately, or surely your competition will beat you to the punch. |
