When you are born as a U.S. Citizen, you are issued a Social Security number. You have it your entire life, and it never changes (that I know of.). If you are an immigrant and you are approved to be a U.S. citizen, you are issued a SSN (Social Security Number). And yes, if you are an illegal immigrant, you need to get..out..and go somewhere else.
Now, in the even that you are a true blue citizen, and you just don't have a social security CARD, you can contact the Social Security Administration and obtain one, or, read about how you can further obtain one.

But yeah, don't want to assume you are an illegal immigrant, however, if you are..I atleast hope you are -trying- to become a legal U.S. citizen. |

oh wow, thats tough. I really don't think you can, because (perhaps) you are not a citizen of the U.S. (i dont want to jump to conclusions...)
If you just lost it, then you should be able to be sent a replacement, or a temporary print out. |

I don't think you can....you can get a SS number assigned if you are a citizen and there was some kind of a mix-up that prevented you from having one,; but if you are here illegally, then you are not allowed to get any insurance, |
