I do - like the other participant stated, it is the number one carrier of auto insurance in the US so there's no blanket demographic of a policyholder. It has an excellent reputation and is usually reasonably priced. You want to stay away from Allstate if at all possible.
State Farm writes policies in most states - they don't write in RI, not sure if they write in MA. They are a mutual company, meaning the policyholders instead of stockholders own the firm - and sometimes pay dividends. |

Just about everyone (young and old) needs insurance.
If you own something valuable, you should have insurance on it. If you own a vehicle you should have insurance to cover not only the vehicle, but also yourself and passengers plus to cover lawsuits if you were to damge property, hurt someone etc.. |

~~It's wide variety of ages. Mostly, I think due to family practice. My mom, grandmother, aunts, all had State Farm, when we got married we stayed with them, and now my kids are on their own, one married, two are single, and they stayed with them too.
They are not the highest. Their rates fluctuate around and they my be in one period, but they can be lower than Allstate at another time.
If you ever have one claim with State Farm, you are a customer for life because of their superb service. You are taken care of quickly, and all your needs are attended to promptly. Until you actually need your insurance, you don't often appreciate the differences between companies.
You are smart checking into insurance. Pick the one you like the best. Longevity with an insurance company pays off. If you insurance hop for low rates, it can get you into trouble when you have a claim, at renewal time.~~ |
