He needs to request a copy of his credit report, you are allowed one free per a year. Check for any inquires from banks, credit cards, etc, to see if someone has or trying to steal his ID.
On the other hand, if this is just mail, it could of been done as a joke by a friend. Hit websites for senior citizens related needs, sign up his name, address, for literature to be sent, etc. -result he is getting bombarded with useless mail. |

It could be something as simple as a mixup with similar names. I irregularly receive mail for a girl who has the same uncommon last name, but unlisted phone number and is totally unrelated. She moved to my town with her brother (who has since died), but it started while they were living in a distant suburb.
I likewise have an unlisted phone number, so I have no clue how anyone associated my address for her. I have never even met her, but tracked her down by e-mail to foreward some of the possibly non-junk mail to her. |
