Health insurance has several factors when generating rates, a few big ones are:
a. Age (older you are the more expense the plan)
b. Demographics (areas affect premiums because of medical costs, malpractice insurance)

Easy answer.....the adults are the most risky and therefore would theoretically have the higher rates, depending on whether or note the insurer got that close with the breakdowns. |

IF there aren't any preexisting conditions, then the adults are cheaper - the kids have more accidents and maintenance issues.
But from a practical point of view, if you buy all individual policies, everyone under 30, including the kids, are going to pay one rate, and 30-39 will pay another. |
