Berkshire Hathaway..a publicly traded company (brk.a and brk.b)..majority owned and controled by the previously mentioned Mr. Buffett...aside from the previously mentioned holdings, they also have a large interest in some very big companies (Proctor & Gamble, Washington Post and Coca Cola), and own one of the largest insurers in the world General Re....also as an fyi, they own (I believe) a majority stake in White Mountains Group..the insurer more commonly known to consumers as Esurance.com... |
