Farmers...no Allstate....no State Farm....oh I don't know. It all depends on your situation and how much you are willing to risk on a loss. As long as the company is rated A or better by AM Best and the policy has the coverage you need, there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

call a local independent agent. they write with a lot of companies so they can place your home and auto together and keep you with a great company at a great price. people tend to go to big names they have heard (ie: allstate, state farm) but honestly, some of the best companies are ones you may never have heard of before. |

Geico and Progessive don't offer home owner's insurance. It's best to have all your insurance needs taken care of by one company to take advantage of discounts.
It's up to personal opinion when deciding which company to go through. Make sure they are A rated. In most of the top companies, you'll be dealing with an Agent, so make sure you like your Agent #1.
