I think they just don't fully understand what they sell, and they certainly don't understand what other companies have to offer. Insurance is a very complicated topic, and there is a large knowledge gap not only between the consumer and the agent, but also among agents.

I don't think they're really dishonest. I think that they've been trained by the company to sell the policy this way, and not think too hard about the alternatives. |

It's just a job. It's the company they work for. It's their cut. And as said earlier ... all about the money, honey.
BUT, every once in awhile you hit a rebel who'll give you the straight goods. They're the ones about to move on to bigger and better things. Good luck finding one o' those. |
