I mean, who cares if your family is going to be left with bills and stuff...your going to be dead, and theyre not going to bill you in the afterlife...

The Idea of having Life Insurance is to serve one basic purpose. Life Insurance is meant to replace the Monetary Value of the person it covers. Meaning...for example...If a married couple had a life insurance policy on the Husband or Wife...If one of them died, there would be a financial loss as a result. (Don't misunderstand the concept and believe that "financial" is the only loss, but Insurance is meant to cover the financial aspect of a death) When that person dies, the family will have lost that income they would have otherwise used throughout the years to pay their debts, pay a mortgage or provide for their children or whatever it is they would have done with it. In addition there is also a small financial burdon immediately (buriel expenses) that Life Insurance is also helpful with. There are many other uses for different kinds of Life Insurance but hopefully you understand the concept a little bit better now. But then there are the people who really don't care about any financial or emotional burdon on their family after they die and may go out of the way to say things like, "Just bury me in the back yard" or "go find another man that'll support you and the kids" etc...both of which are extremely selfish and I doubt most people really mean that when they say it. If they do, they don't deserve the companionship of the people they are with anyway..Don't ya think?


Funny Fact: Once you reach the age of 100, the insurance companies consider you dead anyway, and on your birthday, you'll get a check for the face value of the policy (minus any outstanding loans)
