All insurance companies give people the run around. Because they are told to not to give out money. If they give out money then they would be able to hoard it all themselves. I would get a lawyer about the situation because Met Life will continue to give you the run around. Good luck |

There should be a transfer agent for the placement of your late dad's assets held by MET into the hands of the executor of the estate or the named beneficiary under a life policy. OK, What does met life have to do with money and stocks?
Are you a minor, or were you at the time of death?
You've left out WAY too much information for anyone here to be useful to you . . . if Met hasn't paid out a life insurance benefit for the past 8 years, to you, it's probably because you are not the beneficiary, or you're too young to get the payout. In either case, they should have told you, hey, you're not the beneficiary, or hey, you're too young, we're paying the trust, or hey, we're to hold this until you turn 25. |

They're not giving you the run around. You're not giving them what they're asking for OR what they need. Insurance companies don't say 'close enough' and release the money because it's been taking a while. They're in no hurry for you to give them everything they ask for.
Why aren't you going through his financial advisor?...you would've been done months or years ago. |

Time to get an attorney to send a letter or take this as a case. Then you sue and go for costs also and even interest. Your attorney will get a piece of this but you have nothing at this point. See if one will at least send an official inquiry and to check your case out for you. |
