And how do you figure the government is responsible for what hospitals charge for their services?
How do you figure the government is responsible for what insurance companies charge for premiums? |

The U.S.A. is not a socialist country. Thank The Good Lord for that. |

Oh please. The government HAS one form of universal health care. It's called the Veteran's Health Administration. Heard of it? They've been in the news a lot lately because they can't even keep the facilities from literally falling apart at the seams. (And that's the least of their problems.) Now, considering what a small percentage of the population is involved, can you imagine how grandly they'd screw it up for everyone?
You want these people in charge of your health care? Before you answer, consider this... it's cheaper for them if you're dead, in that case, isn't it? (I don't mean to be cruel, but you do have to admit there's a perverse logic there.) |

Oh that is right... I forgot Bush is at fault for everything. The sun didn't shine very bright yesterday..damn GW.
The government does not control what hospitals charge! Thank God the government does not run our health care system. |

well for one thing the government doesn't pay for insurance thats why I would move to Canada if my greatest fear weren't being captured by the mounties and them tying me down and making me listen to Anne Murray albums. |

The two are completely unrelated.
Medical insurance and hospital bills are extremely high, because on the whole, Americans demand a lot of service, a lot of maintenance, and they demand that the medical profession treats things that they don't want to manage themselves. Want to cut costs? Cut services. You can't keep piling your grocery cart full, and expect the price to be going down.
Why does Bush spend billions on the war? Maybe because we don't want more American deaths on American soil, so we're bringing the battle to THEM. I, for one, do NOT want to see anti-americans on tv dancing for joy at the sight of American buildings collapsing and people jumping off burning buildings again. |

Most likely because better hospital and health coverage wont gain more oil, while they think the war will. Sad for us, but sadly it makes sense. |

Very good question! The truth is obvious mate...
Some people will lie and tell you it's for freedom, democracy, liberty bla bla bla (they are the ones who know the real answer) at the same time people are dying of hunger and sleeping on the streets... |

Medical insurance is often quite affordable if you simply take the time to research different offers from competing companies that actually offer coverage in your zip code.
As far as Bush's involvement; yes, it is true that something should be done but what exactly that something is is the real question. |

Well I think it is like this...... There is no oil in medical care for American's..... Oil is all it is about, when it comes to Bush..... What I don't understand is this.... We are at War because of what happened on 9-11...... We can find sadan Hussein in a little hole in the ground, but no weapons of mass destruction....I have a big problem with this..... I thought we went to war to get osama bin laden.... Well I guess it's all about Oil again...... Maybe Osama Bin laden is camped out on the Bush Ranch in Texas...... Living up the good life.....And Bush is thinking about how much more money he is selling Oil by the barrel......... |

Because they aren't tied together. One uses tax money, the people's money. The others are private companies, free to charge what they want.
Here in Canada our tax money is used for our healthcare and hospitals, so there would be noticeable if they moved money out of healthcare and into military.
Maybe you should vote for someone who might bring you universal healthcare or a 2-tier system. |
