Will after the fact proof of insurance lower my fine?
I was cited for speeding and lack of proof of insurance. If I fax in my proof of insurance after receiving the ticket..will it lower the overall fine?...

No. But if you continue to not have it, the judge might get mad and suspend your license. |

No Too late! The law states , you must have insurance to drive a car. Your fine will be based on the standard fine for not having insurance. If you have other no insurance previous convictions, it will be higher than the normal fine. The fact you have now secured auto insurance ,will not be considered pertinent to this offense. Good Luck... SOLOMON |

Probably not if you were cited for "lack of proof." Most states require you to carry it with you when driving. |

From experience... The citation for lack of insurance will be removed, as well as any fine attached to it, but your fine for the speeding ticket part remains the same. I showed my proof of insurance when I went in personally and paid for the ticket. (The exact amount is written on the ticket.) Ask for a receipt for the proof of insurance from the clerk and be sure the LOI citation is removed. Good Luck! Blessings |
