No, insurance is usually prepaid so you may look for other insurance options. Just remember to find other insurance before you cancle your current policy or you could be cited for driving without insurance. |

On your bill, it should say when the policy renews. Find a new company before that date and then call your old company and tell them you don't want to renew your policy. |

No, but the best way to handle it is to shop around for another policy before your current plan renews/expires. You may find that everyone is expensive in your area.
Contact 2 or 3 captive agencies (State Farm, Allstate, etc) and then also contact 2 or 3 independent agents to get some quotes. Every company has its own competitive cycles - that is why you need to shop around every 2 or 3 years at least. |

Find other insurance and then call to cancel your old policy. Some companies have grace periods and will charge you for that period of time. |

you dont have to pay the intire thing, but if you dont pick up the phone to cancel, or stop bye the office to sign a letter of cancelation, they may be nice like many companies and give you an extra 15 days before they cancel it for you, a little grace period, and you will be on the hook for the 15 days. pick up the phone and call the agent to find out. |

OK, well shop around FIRST. Cancellation and transfer rules vary by state, and if you find another agent that you want to move to, they can help you cancel the old policy with no penalty.
You probably don't want to just ignore it, as it can lead to several problems, including cancellation penalties and problems with the tags on your car with your local DMV. |
