Will not having a lienholder on my policy decrease my insurance premium?
Having a lienholder listed on your policy only protects their interest, and has nothing to do with the premium cost. If you, however, delete your comp and collision coverages, the premium will be reduced.
Have a good day!

If you don't have a lienholder you can raise your deductible and scale back some of the coverages that lienholders may require. That will reduce your premium. Your have to contact the insurer to do that though, it won't happen on its own.

didn't affect mine. when i paid off the car, the rate stayed the same.

this is complete new to me -- i am looking forward to the answers -- i have never heard of a "lien holder on an insurance policy"

The premium will not be affected, but you can make changes that will allow you to save money over what the lienholder required.

No. There is no charge on the auto policy for a leinholder endorsement, or on a homeowners policy for a mortgagee endorsement.
