don't waste your time calling around. contact the insurance company and ask for a list of in network providers in your area. the provider may have a contract with your insurance company, but your plan may not cover the services you are looking for. |

You have to do it the other way around. You call your parents insurance, and ask them which orthodontists in your area are "in network", and how much they'll pay towards orthodontics.
You can't take the orthodontists word for it.
Keep in mind, you'll STILL have to pay more than half the costs, out of pocket. Orthodontics are usually covered at 50%, up to a maximum amount of usually $1,000 or $2,000. |

The Ortho will tell you over the phone if they accept your insurance. The ins. co. should provide you with a list of their approved providers. You may need a consult to determine the exact nature of the orthodontics you need. That info should then be given to the ins. & they should tell you if it is covered. |
