Brian F | Will this lawsuit work in your opinion? |
My dad is trying to sue his company for discrimination/wrongful termination. He is suing for 25 million. he already has an attorney and his case is solid and has no chance to lose. The company he is sueing is very wealthy. does things like this, work out fo the most part? |

how do you know the "case is solid"
we have no info to answer your question. The issue is not if the company is "very wealthy" or not. "Deep pockets" only matter if a person is successful in getting paid. It has no baring on if the case is legit |

You didn't even indicate what state this is in. If it's in Florida for example, your case is most likely on fragile ground. It is an "at-will" state. If you state "the case is solid and has no chance to lose," guess what? You're going to lose. |

You need to present more facts, just because you think it is a solid case, there is always the "other side". Your dad's employer will have attorneys who will tear your dad's reasons to shreds. That is their job and your attorney will do the same to them. Just because it is a wealthy company, don't expect that your dad will get anywhere near $25 million, he will come across as greedy and angry, and may not appear sympathetic to the jury. Your dad will be deposed by his employer's attorneys and that can be stressful, however he will have his attorney there for support and to ensure he is fairly treated, Both sides are entitled to a discovery period where they get the facts regarding the case. All evidence for both sides is available for review by both sides, this allows the attorneys to prepare for trial. Just remember your dad's attorney will get at least 1/3 of any settlement. Again, don't count on getting any 25 million for this case and present more facts for the case. |

Maybe. If the company he is sueing is very wealthy, then they have their own attorneys who aren;'t about to let your dad walk away with 25 million. |

You did not provide any details of the suit. Just because you say his case is "solid" does not mean it is nor does it mean he will be successful. You did not provide enough information.
You will find out when a jury returns with it's verdict. |

There is virtually no case where the outcome is certain. Here is the real test: if you Dad's lawyer took the case on contingency ( meaning he will only be paid if he wins) then, the lawyer expects to win, and be paid. If your Dad is paying up front, then the risk if he loses, is all on your father. |

Well, you told me it would work, so I have guess that it would.
Most of these cases are settled out of court because litigation airs everyone's laundry and is expensive. |
