Please don't go for it. It is a true scam. I have ever had that same email, when they request for money, then it is not a true lottery. Those are just west Africans who are trying to make money. |

It is a SCAM. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many lotteries I have won on the Internet. Also how many "good people" have died and left me their millions to do good with. |

Do you know for sure that Thailand even has a lottery? If so, how did you enter? How did you win? Why would they want to give you the money and not somebody else?
The first indication it is a scam is that they want some of your money before they'll give you your winnings.
Think about it.....they want you to pay insurance....for what?
The very slim chance the check is going to get lost in the mail? If that's the case, they would just cancel the check and issue a new one.
And why is the insurance $550? That's a lot to ensure a check gets properly mailed.
You should write them back and tell them you are perfectly fine taking the risk that the check will get misdelivered and you want to have the winnings delivered uninsured.
Then if they reply and tell you they can't deliver it without insurance, you'll know its a scam.
But most likely, if you reply that you don't want to pay the insurance you'll never hear from them again. |
