I know how to slove the problem, only problem is car insurance and accident insurance dont like the answer. First since everyone would have health insurance no one would have to worry about for that kind of insurance because if you have a wreck in a car, everyones cover under this health insurance. Dont need to pay for uninsure drivers all that money go to the health insurance. Same for accident, wont need it either. The government did the same thing when everyone was worried about the banks going out of business during the Great Depression. Now we have FDIC. You see it easy. |

first learn to spell, then solve the problem. auto insurance is for car repairs too. The FDIC was about making sure your money did not go with a bank that went under. nothing to do with heath. and there will never be universal health coverage, as long as health care costs are obscene, the government cannot afford it. |

Wake up people! The reason medical costs are skyrocketing is because of a faulty insurance plan that people abuse when they get a boo-boo on their toe. If we extended this to EVERYONE, the entire health care system would crash under its own overuse. If you want to model Canada's "National Health Care" system where Doctors can't afford quality equipment and ship their patients to the US to get a CAT Scan, more power to you. A little discretion on what constitutes a visit to the Doctor's office would go a long way to curb the out of control prices. Here is a novel idea, instead of employers shouldering the burden of health insurarance for thier employees, lets transfer some of that burden to the employee and make it like pay like car insurance. If you use it, the rates go up. I hear people griping and complaining about the corrupt government that they don't trust and they want to put them in charge of our health care?!?! Set down your rolling papers, put the pipe down, I want to talk to you for a second..........ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FRIGGIN' MINDS?!?! |

Seeing as how half the people in America don't have health insurance OUT OF CHOICE, because they feel they are too low risk to spend the money on it, how will that make them pay?
Plus, having medical bills paid from health insurance is NOT going to stop all the pain and suffering lawsuits that you see on auto policies - and uninsured motorist coverage is a PAIN AND SUFFERING coverage.
You have to go after the people who want dollar compensation for their pain and suffering. Medical payments are the SMALLEST amount of payout of car insurance claims. Sorry, your idea isn't going to work. |
