Hi can you please advise , If you had a business in the republic of ireland and in 2008 a customer had a flood and you where insured at the time but you now find out 3 yrs later that it was never sorted as the insurance company are stating that they neeeded 1000 excess at time but you had never received this request so the issue is going to high court an in 2008 when this was investigated a report was made that it was a manufactureres fault and not yours biu looks like its still being taken up can this be right and wat could happen as i was insured at time and paid up until 2010 but not now as my business closed in due ti the recession, so I got a letter after my insurance was closed that they could not deal with this claim which is a huge amount that i do not have because of the excess?? can they do this as to what i think is that if you where insured at time then they have to cover it even thought u owe them excess and this should have been sorted at time rather than 3 yrs later... please advise!!!
