No, they'll just pass the cost on to the employee. My job is a perfect example. My boss has made the exact same contribution to our insurance for the last 3 years. My insurance however, has gone up $300 in the last 3 years. 3 years ago I was paying $150 for the coverage I'm receiving. Now it's up to $450. My boss has always contributed the same $150 regardless. When it goes up, he lets us decide whether or not we want to keep paying for it or go without. |

That being said, your assumption that increased costs won't be balanced out by the tax benefits they'll get is just that, an assumption. |
