my name is timmy lang and im 14 years old. i live in northern kentucky and im looking for a summer job (or any other way to earn money). im basically a straight A student. i dont want to be like a bagger at Wal-Mart or Kroger. I need $2000 by mid-august and i have already saved up $800 (for the unintelligent, i only need $1200 more). I have looked at the questions and answers of similar questions, but i haven't found anything that i wiuld be interested in. i want something that i can do at or near my house because i dont want to have to find a ride somewhere everyday. if anybody has any suggestions, im willing to consider them and maybe even give them a try. |

Clean out people's garages. This is usually a pretty hefty task and a homeowner will gladly pay you to do it, and you can probably earn a LOT more than mowing a lawn. And everyone has a mess in their garage so you probably will not have to even leave your neighborhood to find a lot of clients. Basements are a good project too. And I know a lot of people (although none in Kentucky) who would gladly pay $100-200 to have their garage cleaned out.
When talking to your perspective clients, I would recommend you refrain from any comment like the one you made above "for the unintelligent, i only need $1200 more" because it sounds really obnoxious and would probably cost you a sale. No offense--- just choose your words carefully when you talk to customers and you'll do well. |

Try selling things, start your own business like doing peoples yards, sell candy, do stuff like that but make sure it's legal and safe. |

do yard work for people that don't want to or can't get out in the yard for themselves. make a flyer and stick it in people's mail boxes in your neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods. you'll earn some money and get some sun in the process. |
