finance.yahoo.com - it is the best overall imo

if you want more detail you can also try:

bigcharts.com is great for charts

businessweek.com actually has some really good info on the board of directors of various companies

earnings.com is great for earnings date info

ivolatility.com is good for option data

also, msn has a great plug in you can add to excel to make your own spreadsheet that keeps up to date. (20 minute delay)

You can try Bloomberg or Rueters my dear child!

I use yahoo's finance but if I need to look deeper into a stock, I then use morningstar.com. They post the last 10 years of a stock!

If you're american, I would suggest investing in the Canadian dollar, we're doing pretty nicely up here right now.
It's only a short drive to the border and everythings so much cheaper...
For example, there was a snowboard here for 400 canadian that I went a little south of the border and got for 290 american, plus the exchange rate which brought it out to be 260... Invest in the dollar because my guess is we'll hit 1.40 in 4 months time, we're at 1.10 now, we were at 1.08 yesterday.

Yahoo finance is easy to get your prices and charts all in one, and to answer your second question, yes Apple is a great stock and they are poised to go higher with the holidays and their new products on the market.
