A nice young gentleman from Nigeria has offered me a share of £27m?
I have no idea why he is being so kind in offering ME such a great investment, but basically his dad died, poor old fella, and because of the dodgy banking system out there, he can't get access to it, it has to be channelled through a UK account, which he can't open. I have set one up, and sent him £12'000 to cover the fees which their banks stupidly impose out there, to transfer it to me. That was 3 weeks ago. Now he says he needs £12000 more, which I have managed to obtain through family, selling the car etc ... soon to be replaced by a ferrari, I hope. Now he says £5000 more ..... I can't afford it, what shall I do? anyone want in??
Additional Details
You're all just jealous he didn't ask you .....

It sounds like the perfect way to make money. Hey! I have the same problem as the black fella, could you send me a fiver to cover the postage of sending 90 million dullars to you, and if any of your nice friends are interested, I can send them the same amount every week for life.

Cool, I'm in. How long have we got, only my kidney is still on ebay and doesn't end until next Saturday. I could donate some liquid at the 'family planning' clinic but at about £15 a shot it may take me some while. But I'm in for sure, hold that offer open!

I supposidly sold my car to somebody in Nigeria, they asked me to ship the car over there, they would sort out all the details, even send me the money in advance.
All i had to do was get the car ready, cash the cheque in one of these places which do it straight away and send the car off.
Being neive, i went to a Cash Convertor place and cashed the cheque, the cashier tried very hard to stop me cashing the cheque, telling me about groups over there that do this for a living, sound fradulent cheques to get items over there and as i am the one cashing the cheque, when it eventually bounces it is me who has to pay back the Cash Converter shop, so i went on the side of caution and put it through the bank, i told the guy he could have the car when the cheque had cleared in the bank, he seemed fine with his, low and behold, the cheque bounced, the guy said there was an error and he would send another which he did - same result.
anyway i had a phonce call from the police after the bank had notified them about the fardulent cheques going through my account. and they expalined to me had i cashed the cheque in the shop and sent the car off then not only would i have lost me car but i would have owed the shop the figure on the cheque so lucky excape for me.
If you don't know this guy, what would possess you to send him money, its not as if you are talking abotu £10 here or there which you wouldn't really miss, the sort of money you are sending could put you in alot of debt, my advice get a solicitor and to do it the legal way, and if he gets at his money he still owes you your share, but don't pay another penny to him.

This is a scam that's been around for quite a while. It originated out of Nigeria. Usually, the theme runs that a family member died that had millions, or they are the head of a government agency that is running surplus funds and they need to park it somewhere for a while, etc.

I hate to say this, but you have just lost £24,000. I mean, how did the guy know to contact you. And if he has $27 million, don't you think his father or himself has contacts in the banking industry, etc., that can help them out.

Do a websearch on "Nigeria Scam" and you can read about it. I'm sorry you lost so much money, but hopefully you learned a lesson.

TotalBitch
I don;t believe that you would have £27 pound let alone all that. These scams come through via e-mails on an almost daily basis. Run for da hills *lol*

When you get all that cash from him, send half of it to me. I won't be holding my breath though.....and I don't think you should hold yours either. Think greatly about the words PRATT - AM - I and A. Re-arrange them for a perfect description of yourself, then re-arrange the letters smac to see what it's all about - as if we didn't all know ! ! !

How could you get into this trap? Even a search on the Internet would have told you about such scams, which are very frequent these days. Now consult the Police, in case your statement is, itself, genuine. If your case is NOT genuine, you could be really courting trouble for yourself with the Police. Take the help of established senior family relatives, if your case is genuine.

Oh my goodness..i bet you don't even know this person personally..i really hate to be the bearer of bad news my friend but like everyone else has also said, you have been scammed..all emails like these are nothing but spam. I get these types of emails all of the time, they take your money and you never see a red cent back from them. Please do not send anymore money and if by some chance this person knows your bank account number, change accounts quickly! I hope for your sake that you will not be robbed anymore. Good Luck!

In Nigeria these kind of SCAM is refered to as 419.These are bunch of fraudist that use the internet directory at random to send well composed letters to entice investor and people who are intrested in making very fast money to buy their dubious ideas. If u fall prey u're bound to send almost ur life earning to them.It is a well organised cartel that they have tentacles spread around the globe. If u even desire to meet them they will work out ur travelling documents and make arrangement for u to see phony bank managers.
But with great honor tod Nigeria Govt they are been eradicated gradually. Please be warned of such people if u really want to invest in Nigeria please go through the right medium contact ur embassy or consulate of ur country in Nigeria. Sorry ur loss.Yoruba will say "Owo wo gbo"that mean "money missing in the Jungle"

Dont worry.

Funnily enough, a Nigerian in the exact same situation has offered me a similar deal.

After already sending him my life savings, i've had to sell my house to cover the "forwarding" fee, which was £18,000. Even though my wife left me calling it "insane" and my child is now in foster care, the eventual pay off will be worth it!

If you give me your details, i can forward you the £5000. I really wouldnt want you to miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I just cant wait for my share of the deal - Barbados here we come!

I think I can tell your having a bit of fun with us!
