yes i ave traded forex and to tell you the truth. this i game not for the faint of heart. the market will shift abruptly and has the potential to wipe you out. i would recommend doing a lot of research on any broker you may decide to go with because a broker is what they call a market maker. i would actually get in with a place that has direct feed to the market. i would alos start very small and trade in small increments. it is also not a bad idea to find a good automated trading system because they take the emotions about of trading and even though you may not make much to start with it is far safer then going it alone.

People think that forex is some sort of quick way to gain money. But this is totally wrong, it takes time to learn and gain your own style of trading and once you get better thats when you can use those various instruments that assist you. You can check these sites out, i find it very helpful for news regarding forex, sharetrading and parts of domestic and international economies.

Forex, like some commodities, is an arena where being a pro gives you a distinct advantage over the small player... If you are a small investor, unless you can stay chained to your pc all day/night, you should consider adjusting your stock portfolio to account for your forex convictions (ex- if you believe in the Canadian dollar, make sure to have plenty of Canadian stocks, etc.) It's much simpler.

Ritch
I know of a great place to trade news. Rick at http://www.forexnewstrader.com has a simple strategy that can easily add a couple hundred pips to your trading each month. He has a really big following and a lot of people seem to enjoy his trading room.
