if you want risk, TBC.TO is about $0.45 per share. If their debt restructuring goes through they'll be in a position to start showing profits. However their performance is dependant on the US housing market and the softwood lumber debacle.

I also like CV Technologies CVQ.TO They make an activated ginseng cold and flu suppressant. Its a very high margin product that is also very effective. Company needs to expand into the US market to become profitable though.

First Metals FMA.TO imo looks extremely promising. I think it is grossly undervalued. The stock halved in the market sell off. The company just completed construction and put their copper mine in production in November '07 with a 7 year mine life. So its the newest producer I know of whose stock got pummeled.

The company should generate an annual 75-80 cents of cash flow per share at current copper prices and the stock is only 86 cents CDN. (It is starting to show some signs of strength).

Jennings Capital just issued two days ago a $2.15 target for it based on $3.10 copper (now its $3.85).

anything alternative energy thats the next thing

The best place to invest right now is overseas or energy stock in the US.

Definitely anything alternate energy, especially solar as we're in an energy crisis and more companies are seeking that alternative. Also possibly something dealing with medicine.
I read recently that Celgene is an upcoming company that has a drug the FDA approved that can treat blood diseases, and later asthma and a few others. I'm not so sure how cheap this company is, it was a a couple years ago. But you should try something to that effect.
