Can anyone | Apparantly I have won the Nigerian lottery, £16m ... I need £25'000 to pay admin fees to release it? |
I got an email from a very kind, and in my opinion entirely trustworthy Nigerian individual saying I won the Nigerian Lottery. I admit, I didn't buy a ticket, but I guess their lottery system is different to ours. He said he needs money just to pay admin fees etc. At first this was £5000. I figured, if I lost that amount, the risk:reward is good enough to justify it. The he said there was exchange release fees of £10000. I just about had it, and I paid it. Now he wants another £10000 which I will get back with the £16m in June 2008
I'm at my wits end. How do I get access to £10'000. I am so close to the £16m I can almost smell it. I've pawned my watch, an antique family heirloom, Casio calculator from the 1980s, and I have loan sharks maybe lending me the rest. The interest will be 35% pa. but with 16m I should comfortably pay that off :D
what else can I do to raise the funds? any ideas? |

I dont believe you for a start, surely this is a joke. There is no way that you could possibly not realise that this is a scam. Just about everyone has had these emails. Its a scam. You will keep paying and paying and you will never see the money promised to you. If you are telling the truth, stop paying money and call your local authorities for help. Im sorry to say but id doubt you will ever get your money back. |

Get back to them and say you'd prefer to take you winnings in the form of tigers - LIVE ones - and tell them that THEY will need to send YOU some money in order that you can "buy" the license to import them so will they give YOU their bank details so that YOUR bank can contact THEIRS etc etc, and keep this going until they get fed up with it or, if they're stupid enough to persist, until YOU do ! .
Just think, while they're wasting their time in talking to you back-and-forth all the time, you might be saving some little old lady from ACTUALLY sending the bastards her life savings ! ! ! |

I really thought you were joking at first, but by the time I got to the end I was not so sure.
If you have really fallen for the oldest scam in the world, and sent £25,000 ($50,000), you must be the biggest idiot in the world!
You better memorise the following lessons from life:
1) No one wins a lottery he never entered
2) Lotteries that do not charge any money, never pay out any money.
3) Lotteries dealing with the West, never operate from Africa, a notorious base for crooks.
4)Companies make customers bankrupt for £100. They never pay out money for nothing.
5) Nigeria and most African countries do not allow sending money out of the country until proof of delivery of goods is produced to them.
6) When dealing with Africa never trust any one, let them trust you instead. |

Its probably someone trying to get money off you. Be careful.
Perhaps you should ahve checked on the lottery system before giving away your money. You only need to search it on the net to know its a scam. |

I am so sorry for you but if you are serious you have sent 10000, you have been scammed! I am an African myself and Nigeria is so full of scammers. Try gettning your money back and run away as fast as your feet can carry from those guys. You will never get the lottery money, perod.
