The chances are that the Monetary Policy Committee will keep the rates the same in February just to let the latest change sink in, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was another increase in March, as the indications are that there was a jump in inflation at the end of last year, although the official figures haven't been published yet. |

Given that consumers are still spending, and the Fed is still talking "inflation", I think we'll see rates go up in the short term. However, the US economy is still running at the moment on a huge amount of debt, so I wouldn't bank on higher interest rates for the longer term yet. |

Yes there is going up again because the inflation rate is at 2.7 and expected to rise. The Governments aim to keep it down to 2.0, therefore they will be rising the interest rates again. |
