Are most stock brokers wealthy?
Why or why not?

It depends on how good of a salesperson they are.. But its always easier to make money on the market than it is in the market. More people have become wealthy with real estate, which a cash flow and tax game, and probably insurance salespeople because the premiums are paid out for years providing a steady income.

~If they're still working as brokers rather than trading with their own money on their own accounts, why do you even have to ask. They make their meager pittance on your market mistakes - and they take their commission on the purchase and sale, whether you make a small profit or take a devastating loss. Duh.

ashok
not all are wealthy, because they are also human and are governed by the human desires and by impulses of greed and fear. It is these two feeling that move the stock markets. It is these two that force the clients to take short views and make the kitty of stock brokers bulge.

Also it is these two that force the brokers to plunge in the market and ruin their wealth.

A broker who knows that his work is only broking and sticks to it , is the one who earns most.

Those that have a list of well healed clients are wealthy.

Those who make cold calls, you know, just when you come home from a long day at work, and are about to open your mouth to dinner, and the phone rings....those guys are peeons and are dirt poor.

It's about connections with those who have wealth and want a broker. Without them, you can't do squat.

Problem is, those who have wealth are usually difficult to find, or are wealthy through illegal or imoral means.
