I've had good luck overall. Depends what you buy. But you do need to be careful and be sure to check the rating/feedback. If you're just buying a used phone, it probably's fine. But if you're planning on buying a new Razr phone, you might want to get it straight from Best buy or the provider since most of them offer $100+ rebates when you buy them to make them less expensive than on Ebay, plus you get the warranty.

I've bought cds, dvds, books, neon signs, etc on Ebay. No issues overall, just the occasional broken item here/there.

With the cell phone on ebay you don't get the same warranty as if you bought it from Best buy with the extended warranty. With the ext warranty, you can replace the phone in like a year if anything goes wrong with it. That's a pretty good deal! Circuit city's is even better where they give you the credit you paid for your phone toward buying your replacement phone, but only with the ext warranty. And CC doesn't have sprint, but if they have your provider, you're in luck!

Hope that helps!

P.S. Don't let Poppie's fool ya, he still buys those things too.

I have bought many used things on ebay, and everything has been as advertised, and I was not disappointed.

You should check the sellers rating, and that will give you a real good idea of the reliability of the seller. You should also pay by paypal, or a credit card, which will offer you protection as well, should the item not be up to the description/functionality, resulting in your having to file a dispute.

If the seller has a high seller rating, I say go for it.

I'd avoid used panties, dildos, rectal probes, toothbrushes and things of that nature, but hey, thats just me.

Carefree? Noway! I wish!
ask the seller ur questions (ie: is it refundable if ur not happy with it)... look into is credentials... also i doubt sellers with loadza points or selling constantly lie to u as u can report them to ebay and leev negative feedback... no1 wants 2 b reported so its most likely that he/she will co-operate... 2nd hand things are okay 2 buy just as long as u do ur research and b careful and ask the ryt questions...

Look at the feedback for the seller. If they have a lot of positive feedback then it is usually save to bid on one of their auctions. Ebay has various buyer protection schemes in operation.

If the cell phone is under two years old, more than likely it will be in fine condition.
Buying anything used is a gamble no matter where you buy it.

Some auctions on Ebay are visible. I just depends on if the seller puts a picture up. Look for a detailed description of what you are buying. Look at the score they have. I wouldn't buy from anyone that's below 98%. Then again, I bought a shirt from Ebay and the sellers scrore was 100% and I didn't recieve the item until I had to report them and bug them about it for 2 months. Also, look to see if they except returned items. That way if there were to be anything wrong with what you are purchasing, you could return it and get your money back. Good Luck!! : )
