Are you buying stocks, now that they're down?
Or do you think they're going down farther? I'm buying on a regular schedule rather than trying to time the market, but I'm curious what others are doing.

I'm buying carefully chosen stocks that appear to be very undervalued with big moats.

I sold out a lot of positions just before the fall so have plenty of cash - planning on putting about half of it back in the market between now and mid July.

If you've got the cash, now is the time as they say to buy low and sell high.

Actually buying all the time, or dollar cost averaging, is a great strategy. You buy more when its low and less when it is high. Keep doing what your doing, it sounds like you are on the right track.

It's a stock picker's market.....you can make money in this market, you just have to choose wisely.

If you wish to research the “Buy and Hold Strategy” further, or perhaps trade yourself, I recommend two book titles. One is called "Which Is Better, Buy-and-Hold or Market Timing?" The other is "Do You Have What It Takes to Be a Market Timer?" They will give you plenty to think about.

A little nibble now and then, especially of Indian stocks. I am still cautious. We need to be aware that our government has lost its collective mind, maybe mind is not the right word. They may never have had one of those.

The other big concern, perhaps the biggest concern is what is going to happen when all of the ARMs ratchet up. There is going to be a whole lot less buying power. In fact there may be a whole lot of repos and a subsequent real estate collapse and then more repos as banks find themselves holding the pig in the poke. Then another S&L fiasco maybe???

wait & watch, no further buying, sell some profit making shares

neilheffernan69
yes i am.
it brings my cost average down.
when the stock starts to go up again it doesnt have to go up so far. i can take out my original investment at a lower price point. and continue to hold the stock for a gain, and if it goes down again i can sell to offset a gain
so you have the right idea
