Are you guys worried about long term health of economy and financial status of middle class or common people.?

Definitely worrying. Developing countries like India are in dire need of investment funds from the rich nations to sustain the growth momentum and create wealth and employment for the common people.
The long term economic health seems to be unpredictable.
There seems to be a domino effect, in which any crisis in the US / EU affects our country.

I too have been around for a long time, and I remember standing in line to buy gas, but I think what this gentleman didnt address was, the purchasing power of the dollar.

Back in the 70's when he was talking about standing in line for gas, a nice home could be purchased for about $20,000 and gasoline was about .50 cents a gallon.

America still had a large industrial base and high paying jobs were still a reality.

Today, much of the industrial base has left this country and the large majority of the jobs are service based. Which translates to lower pay.

I believe you have to close your eyes to not see what is happening, or have the mindset ......i got mine......i dont care.

pent up demand always has moved the economy eventually....
more concerned about the cost of healthcare........

No I've been around for long enough to have seen time of a lot worse than this. I remember waiting for my day to sit in line to buy gas. We are not there. I can remember much harder time for job and money. Beware the media crying wolf. This too shall pass.
