my friend says they have been charged £90 for going over £5 overdrawn, this sounds ridiculous to me , is this right? I think its just a current account.

Yes, I too have suffered the bloody ridiculous Barclays £90 per month overdrawn charge which I think is disgusting. In fact, Barclays can't make their minds up how much that stamp and paper costs every month just to tell you you're overdrawn... one month it could be £68 the next £90 another £82.... Check out the Martin Lewis website on reclaiming unfair bank charges, I am, Good Luck!

Yes it is true. With a barclays additions acount they charge you £30 a day for everyday you are over your overdraught limit. They are robbing B_ _ _ _ _ _ _ they can charge that for 3 days in any month. So that is £90

Hi there

at the moment for exactly this

I would say it seems right .. they whack on two lots of charges and then you get charged around 20.00 for the letter which tells you you are overdrawn.

Tell your friend to call them and they should wavier the charge as it was only a small amount

funnycunny
dont use barclays, they are conmen.

robbing gits.

Northern Explorer
Sounds about right..........

rosbif
Sounds about right, but just by complaining in writing or in person at your branch you can often get it refunded if it is a first offence.

Gizmo
That is about right for a bank to rip people off. If it is a first offence, go and see them and demand it back.
