www.investors.com.
Go to the website and locate the "How To Invest" section on the left side of the screen and click on "Investor's Corner".
When the next screen comes up click on "View Archive". Read the articles in the archive.
In the "How To Invest" section there is also a "Financial Dictionary" you can use to look up terms that you are not familiar with.
Another good website is www.investopedia.com
Try "practice trading" (no actual money involved) at either the CNBC stock contest or the Wall Street Survivor stock contest. They give you a $100,000.00 beginning account balance for the contest. You can win prizes using either one or both stock contest if you want to.
You will get an idea of what it is like to actually trade stock. It is not exactly like actual trading since you can only buy/sell at either the open/close prices (not intraday) but it is very similar.
