Common Sense

For a three year time horizon you do not invest your money... you save it;
www.ingdirect.com
www.GMACBank.com
www.HSBCDirect.com
All have regular savings and CD's which are very competitive. Stocks (or stock funds) would be a gamble for a 3 year hold. Take some time to learn this stuff while you're young. It's the best time to start savings/investing.
Good luck! |

Alot of sailor inst in TSP, well i suggset only do that if u plant to stay navy till u retirement otherwhose is big no, cause u can't take u money out till u 60's or face a heavy reduction, but now market saving and CD are probably the good choice for now, citibank now offer 4.5% Navy Federal also high i think is 3 something, CD usually about 4%. |

In the UK:
The 2 best ways to earn with low risk and good returns are:
1 - 3-year Cash ISA - where your approx 4% gain is tax-free
2 - A 10% interest savings account (eg Barclays or RBS) - where you earn 10% minus tax on all money left in the account for a full 12-month period.
The 2 best options for high-risk returns are:
1 - Stock-market (IMHO Oil & Gas sector)
2 - Property (hot-spot recommendation is Liverpool) |
