you can do it yourself, through your bank. you contact your bank and open a stock/share trading account.

dontknoweither
You can go through a bank -though ultimately I believe they use a stockbroker too.
Also try a share shop -but Im not sure if these still exist (I never noticed any near me, but I live in the North!!)

you can buy the stock online if you want to do it yourself. no harm done, except you must know what are you doing.

Some companies let you buy directly from them. Go to their website, then find an investor relations link, then look for a direct investment link of FAQ.

Buy into fund mangers, who manage your investment. They sell you units and invest your money where they think appropriate. You could invest all over the world. Two good sites for you to begin are citywire.co.uk for research purposes. fundsnet.co.uk for investment purposes.

You can do this yourself through an on-line broker.

There are at least 8 I can think of. You have to find out which one is going to provide the kind of research and service you need.

I KNOW if I listed them, it would be considered SPAM. Go to yahoofinance.com OR do a search on ask.com or other search engine.

BE CAREFUL which one you choose.

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Yes, that is my real last name!
