JG | Can investing be a full time career? |
|
|

Abbott
 |
After the birth of her daughter, Carrie Opara knew she didn't want to return to her old job as a mental-health counselor. But finding legitimate work she could do at home was no small feat.
She tried a multilevel marketing plan and wound up in debt. She looked on the Internet and found plenty of scams. Finally, she heard about LiveOps, a Palo Alto, Calif., call center that hired people to work out of their own homes. |

It is possible for investing to be a full-time career IF you have the investment equity to do so. If you had $100,000 on hand, you can look for a vehicle of investments that return 30% per year and this could be feasible for you.
In turn, you have to realize this is an INVESTMENT. There is no guaranteed returns on your investments, so it is important to diversify whatever your investing. I typically recommend a porfolio of mutual funds, bonds, and managed futures.
I know a source of information for managed futures investing, at "TheFutureOptionsTrading.com". Its a free subscription for educational information regarding investing in commodities.
If you note in "comments" that you are looking for information on managed futures, you will be given plenty of information to take a look at. |

I believe so but an important point is to ensure you have enough to support yourself as investing is different to trading namely due to the timescales involved. Generally investing requires more patience and less entering/exiting positions than trading. Good luck. I am currently reading a biography of arguably the greatest investor, Warren Buffett called The Snowball by Alice Schroeder. It is 850 pages so if you have a chance it is worth reading. |
