5paisa is the trade name of India Infoline Limited (5paisa), member of National Stock Exchange and The Stock Exchange, Mumbai. 5paisa is a wholly owned subsidiary of India Infoline Ltd, India’s leading and most popular finance and investment portal. 5paisa has emerged as one of leading players in e-broking space in India. Our key product offerings are as follows:

Investor Terminal (IT)

Investor Terminal is recommended for infrequent investors, who fall into the "Buy and Hold" school of investing, made very popular by Warren Buffet - the Oracle of Omaha. A typical retail investor is a busy corporate executive or a businessman who makes equity investments for long term and does not trade every day. He prefers a trading interface which works behind proxy and firewalls as they access the Internet and the stock markets from their work place, where a direct connection is difficult because of corporate IT security policies. This product does not have intra-day tick by tick charts.

Trader Terminal (TT)

Trader Terminal is for the dedicated day traders, who churn their portfolio on minor movements in the market, sometimes several times a day. Their rapid and high volume trading requires a powerful interface for lightning fast order execution. They monitor marked to market positions on a minute-to-minute basis, with facilities for panic exit. They need all the analysis - fundamental and technical, market gossip, price and volume information and much more - all at one click.

I don't think brokers will provide totally free of cost as it involves some over heads, may be there could be some limited offers, but some brokers do provide trading account for a very low charge like Rs.150 towards opening charges. There are also brokers who allow you to trading without any brokerage commissions for one time charge applicable per Quarter or some specified trade value. While browsing the net, I came across reference in some sites, you may try, http://readymoney4u.info for some details.

if you want your bank a/c linked with your demat then go for HDFC securities.

if you dont want your bank a/c and demat to be linked then go for Motilal oswal financial services.

if you want internet based trading w/o bank a/c linked then go for Reliance money.
