Can the Northern rock guarantee that my £3.50 in my account is safe?

benjoe021
I guess if they fold you will be in big trouble!

charlie29
yes as it is less than £20000

Lilly11a
90% is guarenteed by government up to 20k so £3.15 is definatly safe unless the government falls in which case we would me in a mad max type senario and you would have better things to worry about!

piet lul
as safe as last years snow.

If Northern Rock won't, I will.

Johnny
No they can't but the government will guarantee up to £2000 in the account and 90% of the next £33,000. So your £3.50 is safe. If it was over £35000 though it wouldn't be.
