Can u guess how much% of AMERICANS has more than us $ 50000 as personal savings?

It would depend on the definition of personal savings.

The U S Census bureau statistics report that the of the top 40% of families in the U S is greater than $60,163.

The median net worth is $35,460.

A great deal of those amounts are in home equity and the data is over 10 years old.

If one is considering only financial assets, the figures are a great deal different.

Only 20% of families have financial assets of more than $31,000.
Only 10% of families have financial assets of more than $84,900.

Again the data is over 10 years old.

I expect that the data does not consider vested interest in social security benefits and pension plans, which for all practical purposes should be considered.

my guess would be 38% (if you're including stocks, bonds, mutual funds etc) if you're not more like 18%. If you mean net worth... a GREAT deal better than 60% I'd imagine.

1%.
If you include stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other investment instruments, then 50%.
If you add real estate, 70%.
If you add retirement plans... well, darn near everyone.

Windseeker_1
I will guess 10 percent.
