You can add it to the same isa, 3000 per year until 6/04/2008 and then 3600 thereafter. There is no top limit on an isa it's just that you are only allowed to add that amount each year. |

Yes you can invest it in the same isa, you can actually only invest every tax year so in theory you can invest £3600 twice a year. once before 6 apr and once after, You can also set up a ISA called a maxi or equity isa where you can invest £7000 in total, £3000 cash and £4000 stocks,shares and other investments, or alternativly just £7000 in equities, actually the new rates will apply after 6 Apr 08. |

Me-thinks you best ask my missus,cos we have one each. She reckons £3600 is the maximum per year,that you can deposit annually. |

Prior to April the 5th you can put £3000 into a cash isa, and then after this date you can now put a total of £3600 into the same account. If money is taken out of the isa within the year, you cannot put that
money back to make up the total again.
If you find a higher rate isa you can transfer, but only through branch to branch of the bank or society. If taken out via cheque the isa is closed.
