Many have started an internet website business with about that much.
Check out British drop-ship manufacturers. If you work on bettering English exports you could get local help. What is made in your area that foreigners want to buy?
Also check out Canadian Drop Shippers who make products wanted in England, like those rabbit furry boots the gals like. There are MANY other products possible. Canada growing and growing, big boom time....
One suggestion: (this is merely an example) You could export tweed fabrics to tailors elsewhere in the world.
Have you interrogated and/or observed the tourists to see what they are buying, or what they are looking at and wish they could buy except for their limited traveling budget?
You need a good buddy who can construct computer website if that is not you.
You need to explore online payment methods.
If you provide what people want, they will beat a path to your website, business will increase.
If you rip off or fail to deliver things will fold up.
Warning: Beware of rip off artists who want YOU to float a big order at your expense, organize delivery, and then you get paid.... You can lose your whole business waiting for all eggs in one basket payment that never comes while the goods disappear into some lesser known country.
There is an American firm called Stores Online, I believe that helps with such projects. Sometimes they have seminars in your area. Google for more info.
This is an area where you need to work, work, work and keep the ball rolling....

There are several business opportunities out there that you can stat with not having to front a lot of money. For example Mary Kay cosmetics is far less then that to start and you can earn 50% profit. I went to www.google.com and entered (business to start with little money) and several web page address' came up with all different ideas and even how to start with no money also how to receive grants! It just all depends on you and what you want to do or willing to do. |
