Because the federal reserve is cutting interest rates while at the same time printing more dollars which causes inflation.

recession in USA
federal bank interest rate cut
trade deficit
capital out flow

more than the above

it is because OPEC countries hitting USA from back - by buying GOLD by surrendering dollars reserve. they also create artificial oil deficit by curtailing production - it increases the crude oil prices.

solution
reduce fuel consumption
sell maximum quantity of Gold

Yes. The dollar falls as US interest rates drop. As rates drop it devalues the US Dollar.

Good = The US can pay back the national debt now at a discount.

Bad = Commodity prices such as corn, wheat, oil, etc, go up in price because they are valued in US Dollars.

Bad2 = everything that is imported costs US consumers more cause the dollar buys less.

The US Dollar has decreased in value every years since 1967.

We don't have a gold standard backing our money system, so our money is effectively worthless.

Also, the Federal Reserve system is killing our economy at the moment.

Hoochie Coochie Man
Because we tax businesses and people so much that new businesses go to other countries with a lower tax rate. Since new businesses go elsewhere, people invest less in the US. which helps decrease the value when compared to other countries.

This is very simplified, but who wants to read a long complicated answer.

the reason y the dollar is falling is because there is so much american dollars being spent on war and since the purchase of army supply and weaponry is imported so the government pays for it using a different currency using the dollar so there is high supply and low demand on the dollar and the more it goes down the more dollar holders start to trade in 4 different currencies which is y the economy is hitting a near recession.

Spock (rhp)
we keep buying more goods from foreigners than we sell to them.

and with the stock market going down, foreigners don't want to lend us the difference.

***
of course, most of the trade deficit is oil and gas we buy from outside the US.

The government could stop this if all of America would cease driving except for work reasons.

Or, America could start producing more energy here at home -- that's drill in ANWR, drill offshore, mine clean burning coal from the world's largest deposits of it [in Utah], and build about 15 nuclear power plants a decade.

BUT, Congress doesn't want those nasty, dirty jobs done in America -- they might have an accident and damage the environment.

Sooooo, we farm out all of those high paying, heavy work jobs to places like Venezuela.

D'oh.
