I have recently opened a Demat a/c with Anugrah Commodities Pvt Lmt-I have shares worth 20thusand in this A/c.Its the 1st & only Demat A/c that I have however now I realise that they are way too expensive to deal with & their online trading charges are Rs999.00 pm which for a small invester like me is not feasable.I feel cheated because this was not the rates that was promised to me.
Now looking forward I need suggestion
1) Which company should I open a demat a/c with (Reasonable -cost wise & Customer Service wise as well)
2)How can I transfer the shares (whats the procedure)from Anugrah to the new demat Acct that I open
You can consider the option with Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd., Please approach them and get guidance and help.
After you open the new demat account give the delivery instructions and also for closing the account to your present Anugrah Commodities. It will be done without difficulty, Good Luck

When comparing the cost of opening a trading account and demat account Reliance money is cheaper (considering more than 10 trades per year). Also for normal trading you have to pay only Rs.12 per trade irrespective of value of trade at reliance money but it is Rs.50 + service tax at Stock Holding corporation.
Regarding transferring the shares from Anugrah, first you open a demat account with reliance money then you give a off-market delivery instruction slip to Anugrah. Within 3-5 days time it will be transferred to your new demat account.
Best of luck.
