Did you hear Cramer two weeks ago say "dont sell your bear stearns stock....you're stupid if you do"
ooops. missed that one by a tad.

The guy doesn't know anymore about which stocks will rise than you or I.

Trying to judge this mess is not an easy task. Cramer did screw up. No doubt about it. But then his screw up was not nearly so bad as Greenspan's who started all this to begin with with his free money back in 2001-2005. And now guess what? We have more free money from the fed. Maybe Cramer will learn by his mistakes. I doubt that Washington ever will.

I hadn't actually seen Cramer give his opinion. Actually yardbird is correct. Cramer was asked "should I pull my money out of Bear Streans" his answer was NO.

NO was the correct answer even if the stock tanked, which it did. One of the reason the FED stepped is was to protect the accounts.

He also said "more than likely it will be taken over" which was correct.

Actually I am amazed. I have little respect for Cramer's stock picks, but he was right on here.

To me Cramer is an entertainer, who caters to the 30-35 year old guys trying to regain their frat boy days.. BROO YA or whatever.

He was a great fund manager, but now is obsessed with his own fame. Just like almost all "celebrities"

No, I quit listening to him several months ago when he starting whinning that the government wasn't doing enough to save the companies that had bought up all those mortage backed securities. Then when the Fed cut interest rates he applauded the move.

Thanks to the guy that posted the U-tube video I've seen it now.

I think Cramer is emotionally attached to these brokerages. Just today the new's is Lehaman Bros, and Goldman Sach's are in trouble as well.

Let's face facts, the housing bubble was created by the interest rate cuts several years ago, and bad loans are going to become good loans by creating another bubble on top of a bubble. Just going to make a more noise when it burst. If the government would stay out of it the situation would correct itself.

Actually, he said that Bear Sterns stock was worthless. He advised a viewer not to withdraw his money from a Bear Sterns brokerage account.

!!!
I do listen to Jim Cramer but I don't always believe him blindly. I do believe in the best of breed or industry leaders as a possible stock buy.

Right now my stock market mentors are Jesse Livermore and Warren Buffett.

Cramer is no different than anyone else in this world when it comes to knowing the future. I think a more apt statement would be "don't take Jim Cramer's advice blindly... you're stupid if you do."
