Yes, yes, and yes. But if you are asking such a basic question, you are not ready to invest in individual stocks. Invest in mutual funds or exchange-traded funds instead. Individual stocks are too volatile and you are competing with professionals in the stock market when you trade them. Those pros have more information than you do and react more quickly than you can. |

Yes, Yes, and yes it is worth it. You should buy into mutual funds if you don't want to spend too much time doing research. Don't invest in stocks if you owe money to credit cards. You are better off paying off the cards. Make sure you keep a significant emergency fund liquid (in a bank account you can withdraw from). You don't want to have to sell stocks into a down market to get cash. |

I do. I have an investor do it for me with me having the final word. Edward Jones is who I go through. But who ever you find make sure they have a heart of a teacher not a salesman!
Was it worth it? Absolutely |

Yes, yes, and yes. But I haven't become a millionare on it. I took a chance once and got enough money to buy a Corvette I wanted. I turned $400 or so into about $20K, but that was a one time thing that I got lucky with. Long term, invest in companies with a long steady track record. Don't freak and sell out the first time it bottoms out... trick is buy a little bit over a long time. |

I invested some money a few years back
I invested a total amout of 20k in 4 diferent stocks
5 years ago
2 are still around the same amount after 5 years
1 droped more then 80% ( witch was 60% of the original investment )
and one the last one
I got extremely lucky it is up 2000%
so my total amout is around 70k now
so it is risky if it was not for that 1 investment I made I would of have lost most of my money
my advice is just invest with money you dont realy need right now
you could up ending losing all your money |

You can be guarantee'd that tomorrow your money will be worth less then it is today. prices of goods go up. you need to make money off of your money. unfortunately having your money sitting in the bank making a measly 2 percent isn't gonna improve your situation at all.
You will pay fee's regardless to invest but it is the single most thing you can do to guarantee money for tomorrow. Mutual funds, 401k's, 403b's, Stocks, Bonds, Trusts, etc...
Invest as soon as possible, as much as you can afford with as much risk as your profile can handle. |

Yes I invest, Yes I am a Millionaire, and it took me 40 years to get there. I Spent a LOT OF MONEY ON MY INVESTMENT EDUCATION (any investor knows what that means)
Investing is my hobby now, cause I don't need the money.
Learn everything you can, stay away from OTC, OB, and pink sheet stocks, Stay away from Futures and Forex. |

basically to sum it up, if you know what you are doing you can earn money. otherwise it's just a gamble. information pays off. informed investors are the ones who generally make the money as the stock market just predicts where industries will be headed.
I suggest you play a stock simulation game to learn more about it. |

We invest in 401K and mutual funds....yes it is worth it. Start as young as possible even if it is only a few dollars a month. |

Yes, I invest.
yes it's worth it.
yes you win some and you lose some too.
The trick is just keeping informed. Have you ever watched Jim Cramer? He gives good advice.
Yesterday I made $7,000. Today I only made $1,200. The stock market was not so good today. But there are plenty of days when I lose money too. The idea is to buy low and sell high. |
