Does anyone else see Google (GOOG) as unsustainably high?
I mean, GOOG's market cap is SO large now, its bigger than Citigroup (C)... Does anyone else think it to be an over valued stock that will most likely dive at least a few hundred dollars per share in the future? or is it really THE stock to own?!

Frank Castle
No.

Citigroup increased their sales in 2006 by 12%
Google increased their sales in 2006 by over 70%

I don't know if Citigroup will increase their sales by 12% in 2007 (You need to check their sales so far)

I don't know if Google will increase their sales by 70% in 2007 (You need to check their sales so far)

However, Google will increase their sales by a lot compared to Citigroup.

Citigroup is the 5TH MOST PROFITABLE COMPANY IN THE WORLD with $21,538,000,000.00 USD in 2006

AT&T is the 50TH MOST PROFITABLE COMPANY IN THE WORLD with $7,356,000,000.00 USD in 2006

Google made just $3,077,446,000.00 USD in 2006

How long do you think it will take Google to increase their profits to $7,356,000,000.00 USD?

Google now sells Radio Ads.

How long do you think it will take Google to start selling TV Ads?

I am a Portfolio Manager with over a decade of experience in the Stock Markets in the United States of America and other developed countries and I suggest you to buy Google and hold it until you die.

Actually at GOOG's growth rate, trading a 35 times earnings is cheap. Plus, unlike C, GOOG is a well run company that executes its business plan.

50/50 to 50
Yep, every time I don't think GOOG could not go higher, it goes up another 100 points.

bizzbagg

Keep buying it until the end of the year. Once a new year starts, profit-taking might occur, and it may dive back to 500-600 levels.

Google is on the forefront of anything technological, especially when you get to software.
Gmail is widely used now, and so is google maps and earth (and sky). Basically, google is where the future is at, at least software-wise.
Although I'd LOVE to own a cell phone or something made byu google. Can you imagine the amazingness of such a piece of hardware?

man_marathon
yes,way too high,if i wned it,i would sell and get deversified in nasdaq and dow stocks-only the big corps

BoxcutterBenny2086
what goes up, must come down. I believe that GOOG will be soon replaced with something else.

pumpdatiron
It's not overvalued if you believe their growth rate will continue. That's where I see it as unsustainable. I use Google often, but have NEVER frequented any of their advertisers. As soon as that dumb money smartens up....look out below.
