Does anyone know of a savings bond that lets you make a withdrawal without penalties?
Im thinking of investing my cash into a five year e bond for max interest - does anyone know of a bank that wont penalise you for making a withdrawal if needed. Im hoping that i wont have to but just in case. uk

John S
If you withdrawl early, say after only a year, you can safely assume that no bank will allow you to do that and at same time not imposing a penalty or reducing the interest you'll receive.

In other words, if you withdrawl after only one year from a five year bond/term deposit/CD etc., you're not going to get any more interest (in fact, probably significantly less) than if you had put the money in a one-year investment product and withdraw on maturity.
